How to get involved
Everything that happens at Seomra Spraoi happens through the work of unpaid volunteers. Seomra Spraoi is always looking for new people to help with events and the day-to-day running of the centre... whatever you can do. You can contribute as little or as much time as you like.
- First, come see the space! Grab yourself a cuppa tea and take the guided tour. It is recommended to come to the Wednesday cafe for first timers!
- Come along to a fortnightly meeting of the collective, the 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month at 7pm at 10 Belvidere Court, Dublin 1.
- Organise an event, e.g. acoustic music gig, political talk/debate, art workshop, skills-share afternoon, issue-based education day, free language class/conversation, NVDA training, cookery class, tutorials in computer software, budgeting for a recession or overthrowing capitalism... the possibilities are endless.
- Building, carpentry, plumbing, cleaning.
- Sign up for the welcoming crew rota.
- Take out a bank standing order or make a once-off donation. Seomra Spraoi is a not-for-profit collective. However, we have to pay rent and other maintenance costs and we rely entirely on donations. We do not seek any formal funding.
