Relatively unknown outside their Australian homeland, Van Walker & Liz Stringer bring their original roots music to Europe on this two month xmas/newyears tour that covers Irleland, ENgland & Germany. Liz Stringer is a demon guitarist with the voice on an angel. Her 1st album SOON (20067) & follow up PENDULUM (2008) earning her commercial & critical acclaim & supporting slots on national tours with Eric Bibb & Mia Dyson, plus a spot on SxSW. Van Walker is a figer-stylist in the grand tradition of the bard, weaving his strange stories around beguiling melodies & driving blues. His releases, The Celestial Railroad (2008) & The Last Record Store, Greetings From Penguin Tasmania, & Love Fate (2009, three releases in one year!) have seen his reputation grow as the new songwriters songwriter, sharing stages with Paul Kelly, Chris Bailey (Saints) & The Old Crow Medicine Show, & gaining support from such oz rock lumanaries as Tim Rodgers, Mick Thomas, Kim Salmon & Spencer P Jones.
They're here in town playing releatively unknown so come down & catch them in this initmate show & judge for yourself.
